Ah, the hectic bounty that is the monthly pedlar’s fair at the gathering hall!
Only in fairest Skye would the jumble sale be referred to as an ‘indoor car boot’?! Waddled back home with a copy of Myst; 4 hardback Asimov’s; a columbian handbag; 3 clocks (for himself’s art); a usb keyboard and speakers; and Trivial Pursuit, the 1983 edition (I was 8 then), all for 20 of your good british pounds.
And the tea, maha! A ‘grand cup of sgitheanach tea’, the good lady said. It was darker than a tar pit and could have powered the moon. Needless to say I’m going to get a lot done this afternoon. You can’t beat a jammie scone and a strong strupach, Effie!
Time to settle down to write, knit, photograph and read for a bit, I think.
